The goal of the Wormser N-Bahner is a module based model train installation that admits a driving business like in reality. Ultramodern electronic components, that necessitate a high technical expenditure, are required to it - however the result speaks for itself.
The entire installation is operated completely digitally in the DCC-Format, therefore the steering of all locomotives and the controlling of the point, signals and gates takes place over one or several control units (Intellibox). A DCC-Decoder, preferably from CT- Electronics, is the installed standard into each of our locomotives. This digitalisation enables us to accelerate and brake our trains in a very smooth way, the light can be turned on and off, as well as driving sound and smoke like in real. Furthermore, the entire module installation can be controlled either by computers, using a track monitor, or manually. The computer software (Railware) admits a realistic driving and controlling of the trains like a signal-box of the railroad companies.
The construction of the module installation will consist of two main parts, the Wormser and the Pfeddersheimer railway station. To achieve this, an individual module norm was developed by the Wormser N-Bahner, to enable each of the N-Bahner to build his modules according to the same criteria that then can be assembled with the other modules to a big installation.
